Chronic pain and arthritis can affect every part of life — from work and exercise to sleep and daily movement. At Glendale Whole Health we focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of your pain while supporting your body’s natural repair systems.
Our approach blends advanced testing, targeted therapies, nutritional strategies, medical-grade supplements, and regenerative treatments to help reduce inflammation, improve mobility, and restore quality of life. Results vary based on the cause, severity, and your personal health history.

We start with a detailed history, physical exam, and any necessary imaging or labs. Our goal is to understand what is driving your pain so we can design a plan that helps you feel and function better.
What we assess
- Type, location, and pattern of pain
- Injury history and joint stability
- Muscle strength and flexibility
- Signs of systemic inflammation
- Hormonal balance and nutrient status
- Lifestyle factors that may worsen symptoms
Nutrition for joint health
Diet is a major factor in inflammation and pain management. We often recommend:
- Anti-inflammatory eating patterns with vegetables, clean protein, and healthy fats
- Reducing refined sugar and processed foods that drive inflammation
- Identifying and removing food sensitivities
- Staying well-hydrated to support joint lubrication
- Using targeted nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and magnesium
Supplements that may help
We carry medical-grade products chosen for purity, potency, and clinical evidence. Common options for chronic pain and arthritis include:
- Omega MonoPure 1300 – Concentrated omega-3s to reduce inflammation and support joint health
- Inflammatone – Botanical and enzyme blend for inflammation support
- Turiva – Curcumin for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits
- Mag Threonate – Supports muscle relaxation and nerve health
- Collagen peptides – May help maintain cartilage and joint tissue
- Vitamin D with K2 – For bone, immune, and muscle support
These are examples from our large inventory. The right combination depends on your individual needs and medical history.
Regenerative and injection therapies
We offer advanced in-office treatments that go beyond symptom relief to stimulate tissue repair and joint support:
- Peptide therapy – Specific peptides may promote collagen synthesis, modulate inflammation, and enhance recovery
- PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) – Uses your own growth factors to accelerate healing of tendons, ligaments, and joints
- Prolozone® injections – A blend of ozone and nutrients that oxygenates tissue, reduces inflammation, and stimulates regeneration
- Direct ozone injection – Ozone gas delivered directly into tissue for anti-inflammatory and tissue-repair effects
- Prolotherapy – Injection of a natural solution such as dextrose to stimulate ligament and tendon repair
- Trigger point injections – For muscle knots and referred pain patterns
- Ozone therapy – Can modulate the immune system and promote tissue healing
- Stem cell and biologic therapies (informational only) – Research suggests that mesenchymal stem cells, derived from bone marrow, fat tissue, or donated birth tissue, may reduce inflammation, support cartilage health, and improve joint function in patients with arthritis. Biologic products from tissue banks (such as umbilical cord or amniotic-derived preparations) are commercially available and used by some clinics. While early studies and patient experiences are encouraging, the FDA has not yet approved these therapies for arthritis, and most access remains through clinical research or physician-directed use. We do not currently offer stem cell therapy at Glendale Whole Health, but we follow the research closely and will consider it as the science and regulations evolve.
Treatment options for chronic pain and arthritis
Therapy | What It Is | Best For | How It Works | Downtime |
Peptide Therapy | Small protein chains that signal repair | Joint pain, tendon injuries, post-surgical recovery | Stimulates collagen production, reduces inflammation, supports tissue regeneration | None |
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) | Uses concentrated platelets from your blood | Arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, joint degeneration | Delivers growth factors to stimulate healing and reduce inflammation | Minimal (mild soreness 1–3 days) |
Prolozone® | Ozone gas combined with nutrients | Arthritis, ligament laxity, chronic joint pain | Increases oxygen delivery, reduces inflammation, stimulates regeneration | Minimal (mild soreness 1–2 days) |
Direct Ozone Injection | Ozone gas injected directly into tissue | Localized inflammation, muscle or tendon injury | Antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, supports tissue repair | Minimal (mild soreness 1–2 days) |
Prolotherapy | Injection of natural irritant (often dextrose) into ligaments/tendons | Joint instability, ligament or tendon injury | Stimulates body’s repair response to strengthen tissue | Minimal (mild soreness 1–3 days) |
Targeted Supplements | Medical-grade anti-inflammatory and joint support formulas | Systemic inflammation, joint protection | Reduces inflammation, supports cartilage, improves recovery | None |
Stem Cell & Biologic Therapies (not currently offered here) | Mesenchymal stem cells from bone marrow, fat, or birth tissue; biologic allografts like amniotic/umbilical products | Osteoarthritis, chronic joint pain, cartilage support | May reduce inflammation, promote cartilage health, and support tissue repair; currently investigational and not FDA-approved for arthritis | Varies (mild soreness at injection site, research ongoing) |
Movement and lifestyle
A strong movement foundation is essential for long-term joint function:
- Gentle stretching and mobility work
- Low-impact cardio like swimming, cycling, or walking
- Strength training for joint stability and bone health
- Ergonomic adjustments for work and home
- Stress management techniques to reduce inflammatory burden
